The power of Joy

Joy is an attribute of the human spirit; it is a result of a deep conviction/assurance of victory or success. There are several things that yield joy, e.g. victory, success, hopes fulfilled or generally, good news evokes joy. The kind of information that gets into us is also responsible for whether or not we shall enjoy a joyous lifestyle. It is important to feed your mind with information the right stuff; information that edifies; that which is of a good report.
Good news evokes joy
What joy can yield
Having highlighted some of the things that yield joy (victory, success, good news, etc), let me now share what joy can produce:
Joy is not just a product; it is also a producer. By this I mean that joy has the power to yield success, prosperity, increase, promotion, etc. This is one unique attribute of this priceless virtue! May be I should highlight more on this with an example of the children of Israel: in Joshua chapter 6, the children of Israel brought down the walls of Jericho with just a shout of joy! Rejoicing produced what they desired to see. Instead of it being the other way round-that the walls should first fall before they rejoice, it was the rejoicing that came first. God wants us to live that way; to rejoice even before we see anything physically; that is faith. Rejoicing even before you see anything has the power to produce what you desire; it is a spiritual principle.
Joy can be evoked deliberately
God wants us to rejoice regardless of the circumstances around us. This is the very reason the Holy Spirit through Paul spoke in Philippians 4:4: “rejoice in the Lord always, again I say rejoice” God knows that by simply rejoicing, regardless of what is going on around us we shall be able to see what we desire. We are children of faith just like our Father.

Faith is a law; it always works

A law is something that will always work whenever put to use. We have several laws, such as the law of gravity, the law of flotation and many others. These laws will always work whenever they are applied. The bible reveals that faith is a law (Romans 3:27). This means that whenever you walk in faith, you will always get the desired results. The bible records several men of God who through faith accomplished great exploits; they obtained a good testimony through faith. Faith will always bring forth fruit whenever you walk in it. Faith has the ability to draw things from the spirit world to the physical realm. Faith is one of the things that please God. Since faith is a law, it will work for both Christian and non-Christian. If you are going to live in victory every day of your life, purpose to walk in faith. The devil is scared of anyone who purposes to walk by faith, because faith never fails. It is therefore important that you learn how to walk in faith. Faith thrives on the knowledge of the Word of God; the more of God’s word you know, the stronger your faith will be. Your faith can be as strong as you want it to be, all you need is to put it to work through practicing to walk in it.

Saturating your life with the presence of God

It is possible to live a life that is fully saturated with the presence of God, a life of an unending flow of the supernatural; a life that repels sickness, and all negatives; a life full of glory and power. All you need to access that life is to have the holy spirit in you (you should be a believer in Jesus to have him-Acts 2:38). When you have the Holy Spirit in you, you can enjoy a life that is saturated with the presence o of God. All you need to know is how to arouse him (allowing him to have absolute access to every area of your life). The Holy Spirit is very gentle (yet so powerful) and only takes over your life if you let him to. Ephesians 5:18-20 reveals to us how to do it-speaking to ourselves in psalms, hymns, spiritual songs….. The more we put these things into practice, the more the presence of God takes over. This however should not be a onetime thing; it should be a continuous and consistent practice, you simply have to discipline yourself to do it. Apply this recipe and it will do great wonders in your life; causing you to life and extraordinary life.

The nature of God

In 1 john 4:5, the bible records that whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world and the last part of this verse actually reveals that whosoever has received Christ as lord is born of God. God did not give us birth in the way men do; he did it through his word. (Having be born again, not of corruptible seed, but of the incorruptible WORD of God, which lives and abides forever. 1peter 1:23). When you receive Jesus as lord, the word of God regenerates your spirit and deposits the very nature of God inside your spirit. Nature alone can also teach us a lesson: a son will always have the same nature as the father and the bible clearly reveals that we are sons of God! (Galatians 4:6). So then since God has given us his very nature, this means that we have the power to function like him. God functions the way he does because of his nature, and now having been born again, we have his very nature of God. This is what God planned before the foundations of the world; to glorify man. God has great confidence in us, because we have the very thing (his nature) that enables him to function the way he does. This is the reason you should never permit the enemy to mess with you, you are superior to him, live beyond limits. You are a child of glory and you have the power to accomplish anything!
